Provider Highlight: Katherine (Katie) Anderson proud to serve the community

The Shoshone-Bannock Community Health Center is proud to feature Katie Anderson, one of our primary care providers who focuses on down-to-earth patient care. She has grown to love serving the Fort Hall community over the past few years and is ready to meet with each new patient. Katie has been working with the Community Health Care Center since 2023.

Her journey into healthcare really started with her dad, who she watched grow into a Physician Assistant during her childhood. From watching her father practice tying sutures around a lamp post, to sharing episodes of ER on television together, her interest in healthcare grew.

Katie started as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the age of 18 right out of high school, and her passion for serving patients led her to further her journey by becoming an Registered Nurse in 2012. After working in a major Trauma Center in Calgary she moved back to the United States for a position in Home Health and Hospice Care, where she spent eight years serving patients. Knowing that more education would help her career path, she completed her Family Nurse Practitioner in 2023, and just recently completed her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2026.
